Out and about in Muskoka the other day.

The Muskoka River shaded by the Highway 11 overpass. Rugged spot.

Muskoka is huge with lots of very expensive properties so fire protection includes water access. Stanley Boat with big Merc power.

Had a loon in very close to shore this evening. Odd but an opportunity to take a picture or two. Realized very quickly something was wrong with this one. He or she has a fishing lure stuck in its mouth and appeared to be in some distress. Called a bunch of Government Hot Lines but sadly it is the weekend. Animals don't need help on the weekends. I will try to keep an eye on him and hopefully on Monday someone can help.

Interesting story Bill, thanks for your comment. Even though we don't live very far from there I had never been to that part on Ontario before.

Rugged and beautiful area.

Hydroplanes from the Toronto Outboard Racing Club in Haliburton, Ontario this weekend. Got a few shots but I need a longer lens. Quick boats and I did not get to see the really fast ones.

Met this guy in Shediac NB. He said he had been looking for a 67 for 40 years, looked all over the states and found this one in Nova Scotia

As always Murray, you have a great eye that produces some wonderful pictures.... Nice 67 as well... I spent a few years in my youth trucking Bombardier Ski-doo snowmobiles from Shediac to Wellington NS. They were the Eastern distributor for Ski-doo. Hope you're having a great trip mf... be safe.... :canada:

Sometimes you just have to get off the beaten path. Without some local knowledge never would have found this place nor drove 11 kms of the highway to see, so glad we did. Point Prim Lighthouse near the ferry from Woods Island to NS.

Why do I have the feeling Eric has been here before. Point Prim Chowder House and Oyster Bar. Food was incredible, great jazz playing and the sun was setting. Best dinner so far, bar none. It smelled like the ocean, wonderful smell mixed with incredibly prepared seafood dishes.
