Hi Scott. I got another text saying the ETA is now April 13 or so . As I mentioned a couple of days ago the system said at that point it was just outside of Toledo on the train so that is all I know. Thanks again for all your time and effort.
There must be a reason why your car is headed in the wrong direction which makes me thing that there is a connecting train headed to Chicago leaving sooner out of Toledo than there is out of Kansas City. The best way to track the location of a car coming by rail is VIN View and I would check with Northgate next week to see if it's cleared the Chicago railyard and if the train is on it's way to Winnipeg or coming directly to Alberta.

Will do. He did mention he used VIN View .

Encouraging news at least. How much are tire chains for 305's....
We have had pretty well solid sun every day for the last five weeks and the roads are 90% clear. Still a bit cool but we’ve had a couple of plus days. I would be driving my car if I had the darn thing. I have been meaning to ask you what you put on yours for tires and rims for the winter season.

Ok… this is weird! I just received one of those recall letters from GM for the daytime running lights. I’m not sure why though as shortly after I picked up my C8 in the spring of 2022, I notice my DRL were not working properly. I soon learned from the forum that there was a very large group with the same problem. The affected VIN’s were said to be from 16XXX to 24XXX. People claim they were fixing the problem themselves by purchasing a new light sensors (part number 13529378). In June of 2022 my dealer diagnosed the problem and told me they found a code B108E that pointed to a short in the light sensor and the car required a new one. By this time, they were all on back order and I was on a waiting list for the part. In July of 2022, there was an OTA update released that seem to be fixing everyones DRL, including mine. The problem seem to go away, and I never herd anything more about it, until now. My DRL are still working fine but the next time I’m back at the dealer for service, I guess they will take a look at it.

We all need to give Scott a big Christmas present for his efforts! Seriously, thanks again for all your time and effort looking into the status of our vehicles, Scott. We owe you. Big time!

Not weird. It is on every C8 produced. At least for Canada. Not sure if the U.S. cars have DRL's. Anyway the fix requires the dealer to update the BCM directly and not through a OTA update. The fix is not available for the 2020's through 2023's yet and maybe not for many 2024's. GM just wanted to tell us to leave the lights in auto mode and they will work as intended.

Guys, I have been doing a bit of digging and it looks like a couple of Jack Cooper trucks have now arrived at the Ingersoll shipping yard and then come back to London. So some cars are now on the move. The truck that arrived in London this week had a Z06 on it that was built January 23rd with VIN#5602963. The truck went directly to Ingersoll to drop off cars there and then came back to London to drop off at least 3 different Corvettes at Finch Chev. I also know that cars from the plant have been brought to Ingersoll for Brian Cullen's dealership this week as well.
I think by Monday or Tuesday your dealerships could be seeing a change in your status. Here's an update that I expect you will see next week on your cars:
SeaWolf, Dan your car was built Jan 26th, the one delivered here this week was built only 3 days earlier so I expect your Z06 to be moving this week.
Ned, your E-Ray built Jan 29th is waiting to be loaded on a truck and should be moving this week.
Barney, Graham your car is built Jan 10th and it will be on the first train leaving this week.
1stVette, with your car's ETA of April 18th as advised by Northgate, your car is going to need to be on the first train as well or it won't get to Edmonton by then.
Rommel, your car being built on Feb 7th will require you to move to Bayed status over the next 10 days before it's scheduled to be loaded on an Ontario bound truck.
RedPearl, Bahran with a Feb 2nd build and heading to Spencer's, I expect your car to moved to Bayed status by the end of this coming week and be scheduled for transport the next week. Jack Coopers as I expected is going by the date first built is the first to be shipped and not last in first out OR filling a complete load for one dealership. The Lansing transfer station is only 7 hours from the plant and the idea of this taking 6 days to reach by train makes me cringe for the guys out west.
GM Musl, Hal, last but not least, yesterday you reported still being at 3800 status with your build date of Feb 12th, cars are moving quickly to Finch and Morgan who's at the Spring Mountain Z06 school today and tomorrow should see yourself moved to bayed status in about 10 days. I don't think the fact that you have an E-Ray coming is going to push you along any faster unless your car is pulled especially and added as an extra on a load headed to Ingersoll with other cars headed to Finch. It happens from time to time. Your a couple of weeks behind some of the others but will still get here faster than going by train!
For all the rest, the 4B00 Bayed status -Vehicle waiting on transportation is the status you need to hear from your dealers. Your shipping will be with a few days once a truck has been assigned to your car. For the next month, there will be multiple trucks coming towards southern Ontario every day as a higher than average build cycle is planned for Canadian cars this month that have been pushed back in February and March. GM has said nothing but released all of the vehicles in Bayed status to Jack Cooper over the past 2 days. There are currently over 200 cars to go on trains and over 300 to be trucked to Ontario. Things will now move quickly as they have been waiting for the go ahead for almost 2 weeks. Smile guys and enjoy your long weekend!

WOW - Just got an update from Morgan at Finch my ERay is on the truck just south of Indianapolis!!

Someone tell me if I am wrong but could it be that my ERay will be the first Canadian Retail ERay?!
That would certainly be a nice 'distinction' to hold.
According to the C8 Tracker, there have been 13 window stickers made (whatever that implies).
I think the bulk of these went for testing and advertising, but I'm not sure exactly how many.
Surely someone out there must have some insight into this.
All I know for sure is that with yours now on its way, I'm one step closer to seeing one for myself.

You are in London so you could see it this afternoon......... unless like my last C8 the driver spent the weekend in the US and arrived Monday morning at Finch. I can't be there unfortunately.

I may slide by to check it out.
If it's there, I'll take a picture for you.
If it's not there when you arrive, check my driveway.

Scott, once again, amazed at your connections and information. Thank you for all of the help you provide us. Your more informative than GM or my dealer! Really appreciated!
Cheers,
Graham

Perfect, wasn't sure if your car was going to be added to the load headed to Finch a little early as Morgan's still waiting on 10 cars and I know this happens from time to time. The driver is taking the usual I69 route heading to Fort Wayne then Lansing yard or on to the Flint yard before it stops tonight. Your car will be on the move by 6 am Monday morning and will arrive at Finch Monday morning.
