For sure there may be something to that . 49 days does seem a bit short but 10 years was definitely way too long.

I always found it interesting why so many voters focus solely on the leader of a particular party. One person doesn’t run a country nor do they formulate all of their party’s policies. Perhaps if more of them looked more closely at things like overall performance and execution or lack there of over a period of governance that we may end up with a better outcome than what results from a popularity contest which seems to be what’s happening now.

You are right on the money. I also have friends south of the border. They all have blinders on. All that registers with them is the riches that Trump will bring to the American economy. They are believing all the BS about the other countries of the world ripping the US off and don't understand that there is a down side to what Trump is doing. When you try to discuss with them what effects this is having worldwide, they just keep falling back to "But just wait. The US will be rich again".Friends of my better half from Georgia came for a visit for the past few days. The sad thing is most Americans buy into the prospect of the more jobs that their ignorant leader promise them.
