Spring is almost here

Well it's definately here for us. Just gorgeous weather the last few days with more to come.
As soon as the new Mustang arrives we'll put the Jeep away for the summer and bring out the C5 at the same time.
Can't wait to get out and waste as much gas as possible.:D

Went through two tanks in the last week. Feels so good, today was out with the targa top off.

finally warm enough in the shop to start prepping the racecar for this season - first event coming up may 23, the armdrop at picton airfield. mounted up the new gas pedal today and will do the throttle cable tomorrow. new current dated 5 pt harness to go in as well as new headers, lightning rods shifter, 17 inch rear view mirror and oil change, tuning etc. when my new trailer arrives i'll take the car over to patrick tire for some new 10.5x30 m&h racemaster slicks. and in the interim get the shark spruced up for cruisin prior to the arrival of the chevelle. gonna be a busy spring what with the big push on to finish the house and get the lake house ready for sale too.

Spring is almost here? Today has just been miserable. Snow, rain, sleet, hail and back to brief moments of sunshine. I have given up any thought of getting the car out. Oh wait it is snowing again.

One of the main culverts on our self maintained road has completely wash away after spending $3K on it last year. Just flushed into the lake. There are times that living in the country are not what is is cracked up to be. I am not a happy guy tonight.

Same 'blessings' here Murray ....... Great isn't it:rolleyes:

I chanced a run in the '06 to Mom's this morning -- after checking the skies, and it looked good for the near term.

Stayed an hour and just as I was leaving the rain started.....by the time I got home it was hailing then snowing.

10 minutes later it was sunny and warm for a little while. then of course more 'crap'.

The '06 needed a dust off anyway so she got it today.
I'm hoping Thursday/Friday's forecast comes true -- it promises much nicer weather.

Hang in there buddy -- good weather is on its way. (and we might even get some this year).

Colin.

Just after sunrise today, we had a SNOW SQUALL for a few minutes. The weather man had better be right as he is predicting sun and some cloud for at least a week. I think we have heard that one before. :(

Great forecast for the next couple weeks.......Let's hope mother nature doesn't mess it all up again.

Right about now I'd settle for no snow. It keeps trying to snow here today -- much the same yesterday.

10 mm yesterday, cold today, wind back at 30 to 50 for the day. I was smart enough to have at least parked the tractor inside the shed so I could continue to work on it in shelter. Adding the new hydraulic pump for the seed drill. +6 tomorrow, +11 on Sunday.

Took the Z06 to the dentist on Wednesday, more for charging the battery than anything else as by the time I get home in the evening I'm too tired to take the car out.

But still feeling very happy. An early spring, all the equipment is either prepped or will be and we're ahead of the ball game for once. Once we get rolling it should be a good one, adding 33' of new seed drill to my 58' and have three possible operators so I should be able to keep it rolling most of the time with some luck.

At the very least it will either allow me to be finished seeding earlier which should result in:

1)getting more km's in the Z06
2)custom seeding, very handy for beer money

Cheers,

Garry
