This past summer, when we were going to Manny's shop for the intake install, we though we would bypass Toronto by going across country through Newmarket to 400 and down. We get onto 400 at 6:00 AM and the traffic is 30-50 mph all the way down to the 407 and getting worse. Needles to say, we turned right at 407. It makes me cringe every time I have to go anywhere near the city. Too much of a country bumpkin I guess. ;)

That could be something to look at in the spring. It's a nice run with decent roads through farm country from Lindsay to Newmarket and there is highway 9 on west from there. Nice country and not a lot of traffic....except for Newmarket but it really isn't that bad.

No pictures. It didn't happen. We'll just have to plan all over again for next month. Doug can bring his camera and I'll bring mine as a backup. Then again, I forget all the time so it is all on Doug's shoulders, so don't forget. It takes us old guys all we have just to get to the airport without getting lost. We did have a good time at the lunch that didn't happen. One spare camera going in the Jimmy right now. ;)

I was like that for a few years after retiring -- Now it's an effort to get up b4 7.

What time do you go to bed? 7 o'clock?? :D

Being a shift worker I don't always sleep real well; even on my days off. I can relate Doug. :(

I worked the graveyard shift for my last 13 years before retirement. Seven years later and the old body clock still hasn't sorted out. I'm usually awake for an hour or so any time after 3:00 AM. Then come 8:00 AM the old body is in full sleep mode when I am getting up to get things done. If I don't stay up until at least 11:00 PM, I will be awake earlier in the night and longer. Shift work definitely has its long lasting effects on some people. :(
