Saab 29 Tunnan (Tunnan is Swedish for "The Barrel" which is beyond appropriate) a Swedish jet fighter aircraft.

First flight of the Tunnan was September 1st, 1948. 661 Tunnans were built, she served the nations of Sweden and Austria and also equipped a UN Fighter Squadron in the Congo. The last examples were retired from military service in 1976.

Evolution of the Northrop research aircraft leading to the Northrop XB-35 Flying Wing, which eventually led to the modern Northrop Stealth Flying Wing bombers such as the B-2 Spirit and B-21 Raider!

Northrop was experimenting/ developing the flying wing concept as early as the 1920s.

Amazing pic, unfortunately, seconds later it went down with all lost. The pilot was 20 years old, most kids haven't moved from home at 20 now, different time.
