C7 dead battery popped trunk but lid won't open? Can you help??

Did you try the key in your fob? I've never done this but according to google you need to remove the key from the fob and the keyhole for the trunk release is above and to the right of the rear license plate.

Yes popped trunk ok with fob key but lid is stuck dead in the water thanks for reply

Did you try closing it, and unlocking again with the key?
Here's you answer. With a C7 remove your key from the key fob and insert into the hole under your bumper and then turn the key for the rear hatch to pop open giving you access to your battery. See photo. Sounds like you need a battery tender for the winter as well. Scott
Yes, remove the key from your key fob, insert it into the key hole near the rear plate, turn it and the trunk should open regardless if the battery is dead or not.
