Don't know it's age. Didn't count rings. but I have 4 tamaracks in my yard that I transplanted there 25 years ago that are about 7 inches diameter. Supposedly they can live to 150 years and reach 18 inches in diameter. I didn't measure it but this one was awful close to 18 inches.
Finished splitting my recent load of tamarack my buddy and I cut a few days ago. We found an area with huge trees. This is one on my splitter. The splitter wedge in the picture is 6 inches tall to give you and idea of the tree size and the other picture is the spilt wood from 1 block.
