Not gonna be much help here Bill. I haven't been overly impressed with the ones that just look like light bulbs but I have a living room overhead that Brenda picked out. It's a whole ring of little tiny led's that are very bright. We had to install a dimmer switch which is a whole different story as some can be dimmed with a special switch and some can't (to my understanding). Some they advertise are good for 30,000 hours and I've even seen some that advertise 100,000 hours.... although I'm not sure who would keep their receipt after over 11 years for warranty.... They are not cheap either... that much I can say for certain.... (although you probably already knew that).

That;s the way to go Bill and you won't regret it. Being an elecrician I've install many of them, including my own place.
My shop is way brighter with less power consumption so what''s not to like.
Another thing that's great is they light even when it's freezing cold not like the old T-8 T-12 tubes.
And that may seem like a lot of money which it is, BUT you'll never have to touch the fixtures again except to clean them!!!
Rob

Thanks Rob, always nice to have a second opinion from someone who knows. These will be the lights I go with.
I blew 180 bags of insulation today but I'm going back tomorrow for another skid. About 25 more bags will give me about 18'' which is easily R60.

Was hoping to keep the machine outside but because of the wind and snow I loaded the machine inside the shop. What a mess!

Dirty friggen, job man!!

Bill

Been working on electrical, garage door opener, water pump and hot water tank. Awaiting the rest of the 8' LED's. Decided to go with 12 fixtures at 8' for some serious light, maybe I'll grow something.

Bill

Well, pretty much all finished now. Just need to powerwash the floor up squeaky clean and I'm done. Put some shutters on the windows as well. Now to start with shelving, racking and storage etc.

Bill

I have lots Eric but thank you. I have an 18X30' shop with 3 floors here at home that I need to empty and it is jammed packed with mancave stuff. Best part for me is that I will get my pickup, the two Jeeps, the Mustang and the Vette all inside together for the first time. Maybe I'll get lucky and a couple of them will have an off-spring.
