Vehicle Dynamics Engineer Drew Cattell, ME 08, completed a 6:49.275 lap in a yellow Corvette ZR1X at the 12.9-mile Nürburgring this summer in Germany. Cattell, who is not a professional racecar driver, broke the record for the fastest lap in an American car.

Yes . But not in the same category as Verstappen. Muller seems to be the quicker of the two going by stats . And lots of variables possible especially on a circuit of that length . Either way both cars are amazing.

It calls muller a pro. It doesn't for cattell. Just because he has raced doesn't make him a pro. I raced against pros and did not fare well. lol
