Is anyone seeing any new Z06's sitting at dealerships available for purchase ?

I inquired locally here, as the dealer had one on his website as "in stock" and he tells me that there is a waiting list of 60+ people and would take me years to get one.

Is this still truly the case today? 60+ people at a single dealership in eastern Canada, who have $250k to drop on a car? Seems far reaching.

One of Scott's (Mr. Corvette) contacts had an allocation available for a Z06 as late as last week, but I believe it has been taken.
He also knew of an open allocation for an E-Ray, which in my opinion, unless you are going to track 'hard', is the better way to go anyhow.
They are out there.
Reach out to Scott, and if he has a line on one, he will certainly put you in touch with the right people (it doesn't cost you anything).

If you want one let me know. I know of a couple really nice Z06's available now. Also last week I had a 2025 allocation available but it sold Saturday. Should have more next week but already have two other interested.

kidding .... although would take a ZR1 ... was joking ;)

Scott is however gonna see what Z06 he can drum up for me.

Have faith.
Scott will get you one.
It may legally belong to someone else, but hey, if it didn't have a 'club' on the steering wheel, it's fair game, right?
Seriously though, you need to get your finances in order as when these things become available they usually go pretty quick.

Now that Tadge is retiring, I need to work on my relationship with Josh. I initially met Tadge inside the Corvette plant in 1997 when he was assistant to Dave Hill the Chief Engineer. Dave got me a one off special interior for my C5 Z06 that wasn't available in Canada.

Most of them will pass when they’re given the opportunity to order. Do a nationwide search and bring one home. A 3LZ with 10,000km just sold for $175,000 and there’s another 3LZ with lower kilometres which you can buy for $150-160,000 I’m sure. It’s been on sale for a while now.
100% this. I went from #37 to #1 in 2 months. Anyone who really wants a Z06 can get one in a reasonable amount of time.

I would wholeheartedly disagree unless the owner was deaf. The Z06 evokes so much emotion from that motor that an E-ray will never be able to touch. From the moment it starts up, to noise it make when you accelerate and downshift... the Z06 is something special. The E-ray is soulless in comparison.

I always thought the 6.2 pushrod in the Stingray was good, but it lacked the pyscho character I've had with other cars.

I had the chance to drive a Z06 last week...the experience was like drinking unicorn juice out of the goblet of fire. Damn near magical.

If you want something quick, tame, and a bit cheaper, then yes, the E-ray is a great option. If you want to feel like you were just riding an angry dragon that finished incinerating a village in the Dwarf kingdom, look no further than the Z06.

That is the sort of emotion I want to feel on the street.

It all depends on the owner. I personally prefer the Stingray over both the Eray and the Z06. I will likely not track my Stingray nor would I if I had a Z06 so RPM is useless to me. I'll take the extra 5 ft-lbs. lol. The Z06 is too unruly for me also. The E-ray is a widebody, but heavier also. Don't need the batteries to worry about.

No, I'm not deaf.
I hear you just fine, and you sound like a lot of other Z06 owners (not all), extolling the virtues of 'the noise'.
But that's all you've got, right, is 'the noise'?
Most of us drive in the city, or on the odd country road, where the E-Ray outperforms the Z06 in every aspect.
As for 'the noise', if I wanted a car that sounded like a Ferrari, I would have bought a Ferrari.
After you finish that unicorn 'juice' and step away from the comic book section, check out what the E-Ray is actually is all about.

Right!?!!

Some of them are so fresh they haven’t even got to know the host yet :)

Let’s see what happens. I’m struggling with z06 now or wait , vs go whole hog zr1 and likely wait 1-5 years. And prices of some of these things are unknowns … all plays into the ultimate choice.

Devils in the details. Decisions 🤷‍♂️
