Z06 vs E-Ray drag race

But . The sound to me is far superior from the Z-06 . Performance of both is more than adequate .
Yes, the performance of both is more than adequate, at least for guys like me.
Personally, I don't need (or even want) the 'noise' of the Z06, but for those that do, I'm very happy for you that it's available.
I'm also pretty sure that given another 1/4 mile on top of that race, the Z06 would have caught up.
Unfortunately, for those that equate decible levels with performance, I think the peception has fallen to reality.

The vid ss expected. But if they were to do a Edmund U-Drag, the Z06 will show its advantage.
I really want to see an Supercharged and or 427 LT2 700hp Stingray against the other 2 and see it would far against them?
Why settle for something so wimpy ? Get you one of these….
One of the most popular engine swaps that gearheads like to do is an LS engine swap. These V8 engines built by General Motors have a long history of consistently delivering power and durability to many drivers over the years. Well, Nelson Racing Engines has a number of LS engines that it has worked on to deliver power that GM did not even think was possible when they were originally built. Only one of these LS engines from NRE can generate 2,000 horsepower, though, and that would be the Twin-Turbo Alien LS 427 Warrior engine.

NRE designs most of its LS engines for the street, and these LS engines top out at 1,800 horsepower with the Hot Rod series version of this 427-CI engine. The 2,000-horsepower Warrior version is made primarily for racing, though you can drive it on the street if you really want to. However, NRE warns against doing so because of its reduced valvetrain durability.

The engine block is a Dart LS Next Pro that pairs with a Magnum crankshaft from Callies, and it features cylinder heads and a valve-train designed by Nelson Racing Engines itself. You can expect the engine's maximum horsepower
at 7,000 rpm. NRE also offers a host of customizations and options, ranging from electronic boost control to something it calls the "Darth Vader Package." At its most basic, you're looking at a starting price of $46,999 for the NRE LS engine.

Twin turbo beast.

What advantage would that be?

FYI, U Drag time list. Take it for fwiw.
I know you get all worked up at the slightest hint of what you preceive as a slight against the Eray. That is not my intention. Just pointing out fact.

That Stingray 31.x may have been on the old course where the new longer course yeild a 33.4. Which make more sense.

Just so you know, I do think the Z06 is simply a marvelous machine.
Aside from joking around about 'the noise', you'll never her me say otherwise.
Rightfully, the Z06 should be substantially faster than the E-Ray on all fronts - after all, it was built and touted by GM as the 'track' Corvette.
Having said that, would I trade in my E-Ray for a Z06? - No, thank you.
For guys like me, with the driving I do, I believe it's an overall better choice.
My historical rants where I appear to "get all worked up" are directed at those offering ludicrous statements in defence of their single-mindedness.
You like the Z06, great - buy one, or enjoy the one you have.
If you'd like to look at an excellent alternative, check out the E-Ray - I don't believe you would be dissapointed.
The E-Ray is not 'less than', or 'more than' a Z06 - it's just 'different than'.
