Its an excellent option as opposed to spending 10 to 20 grand on some high end forged rims and rubber ... as GM has really stepped up their game with the wheel options \.... And for 209 USD .... Its a no brainer
Looking forward to the wheel options for the New GS ....![]()
I'm also waiting for an "official " announcement on the GS . May have to inquire with my dealer about an allocation.... Wanted the 20 spoke black wheels for my Stingray but no go . Got the 5 spoke with the machined edge which are OK but.....aftermarket wheels are the price of a month in the Caribbean, lol. I know which I'd prefer in the middle of January !Yea now ( or mabe it always has been ) it clearly says on Paragons website ... you no longer have to trim the nutz ....GREAT ! v

So true ..... I have always loved the 5 spoke design ..... IMHO It gives the car an absolutely exotic look .... and the bonus is that it is easy to keep the calipers clean ...I'm also waiting for an "official " announcement on the GS . Looking good! Thinking of the same thing. Gave the Z-06 a thought but decided it's not the right switch in my circumstances. So true ..... I have always loved the 5 spoke design ..... IMHO It gives the car an absolutely exotic look .... and the bonus is that it is easy to keep the calipers clean ...
Thats mine with the stupid expensive rims .... but I must say It steals the show at every meet that I go to
As for the Grand Sport ... I am thinking hard about trading my '21 for that wide body .....
I also thought about the Z06 .... and actually was very close to making a deal at Addison for a "26 factory order ....Looking good! Thinking of the same thing. Gave the Z-06 a thought but decided it's not the right switch in my circumstances.
Would these work for the front also ... to keep everything uniform ? ?
I bought 20 mm spacers from Paragon Performance and collars to lower my car 3/4": car looks and performs the way it should. Looks goofy with wheels inside wheel well edges and too much space. I have front-lift and Z51 pkg which makes this mod easier to live with. Rock guards from ACS as well.I wonder when will GM get the wheel offsets right on these cars....I am using stocks as winter wheels and the offset is horrible. At least they throw less rocks to the side because of the offsets.
I am looking fwd to the GSX!!I also thought about the Z06 .... and actually was very close to making a deal at Addison for a "26 factory order ....
However ... The Z06 is a track beast .... and I will never track the car .... the engine makes me a bit nervous ...
The Grand Sport seems like the best of both worlds ... you get the wide body and it looks like it will come with the option of a center exhaust and side exhaust ... and im sure the center exhaust will be a paid option
Right or wrong ... I have always liked the low grumble of a solid V8 as opposed to the high pitch of the FPC
I wouldnt be interested in the X version .... too complicated
Im guessing the regular Grand Soprt will start at around a buck 30 - 40 ... quite a bit less than the Z06 and why pay the extra if you wont use it
Dam you cant even unleash 1/2 of the potential of the Stingray on city streets ....![]()
