Huge thanks to Mr. Corvette for setting me and my brother with the Niagara Corvette Club for this Ron Fellows Corvette experience. There were approximately 18 drivers for this event. We got to do 4-5 laps each in CT5 BW or CT4 BW, Eray and Z06 with z07.
The grip on both Z06 and Eray were just incredible for someone that doesn't track but a student of track driving dynamic.
So luck would have it, that myself and my brother were the only one in our group. It would have been great if Scott were with us so I can compare my track driving abilities and to learn from someone one that does this often.
We would follow our own instructor in the lead car with one way radio to instruction us throughout the session.
1. Luck would have it that we start out in the slowest car that's the CT5-V BW. Being first time out on this legendary track, it was a real challenge. Especially with the elevation changes that are on 2, 3 and 4. There were a few time under braking were I thought the rear end would let go? lol..
Next was the Eray. As I know and expect thingsthe driving confidence will a total difference vs the BW. The conering ability is oustanding. So much grip and confidence. Getting on throttle out from 5 with confidence and grip. I was able to (best) dip into low 230 km/h into 8 before. exxercising those carbon brakes.
The last and best were save for last just by luck. Z06/Z07. A little more nibble then the Eray and my quickest time in my guessing. The familiarity of the track? About to hit the higtest speed of 235 km/h and braking late into 8. She pulls hard up top.
All the runs in the Eray and Z06 were in Sport and Autowith AC on.. lol..
The mini Hans device and helmet help me from getting sick of the G force that exerted on my head/neck especially in the Corvettes.
The icing n the cake was a hot lap in the Z06 with Ron Fellows behind the wheel. Just say I had left a lot of pace on the track. I now know what's the almost max limit in that car for next time if I am so fortunate to be invited to experience this again.
It is not cheap but well worth my $1400 for 4 ish hours at the track including buffet dinner and to meet with the Corvette legend, RF.
Super nice Corvette folks of the Niagara Corvette Club.

My yellow Z06.
It was nice to know we caught up and past groups while we were in the Eray and Z06. They could have just been out on the cool down or warm up laps? Lol.
