Ok fellow nerds, I have completed one of my Winter projects. I think it turned out pretty fantastic ;) (of course I do).

This is my 100% Custom made, Frunk Insert Cover for my C8.

The process was as follows:
1.) Get a custom made Frunk Cover from Chris Frech over at Deadbrand Designs . Chris was super to work with, and we went back and forth a number of times getting the cover design to be exactly what I wanted and to accomodate the screen/speakers/switch.
2.) Purchase a 10.1" Android Screen (Amazon)
3.) Purchase 6" Marine Speakers with 1,000,000 color LED's & Remote (Amazon)
4.) Over a period of a month, meticously cut out the frunk cover to allow for the screen/speakers/switch
5.) Install them all, using custom made 3d printed brackets & a custom box for all the wiring
6.) Light it up ! Works with any DC power supply (1 Cigarette Lighter plug) .. I chose an "Anker Solix" for a variety of reasons ... But this will play Videos via USB/Netflix/YouTube/Android Auto/etc for 14+ hours straight, while not being connected to my car at all ! It sounds incredible also.

Not going to lie, it was a TON of work ... I'm excited to get out to the shows this summer and "show" it off now. It truly is unique.

Clearly I am too old for this. So you sit and watch videos instead of driving your car.😳 Explain.

👍🏽 My comments were not meant to be disrespectful by any means. I’m more into doing mods that are more mainstream….
On that note, anyone have an opinion of getting “lambo” vertical doors done?
Worth it? Or just looking like a “wanna be lambo”

I was considering them .. and asked my circles their thoughts …. From a highly respected Corvette influencer

They are truly a pain in your shoulder and they will ultimately start failing after a few years.
…….
You’re welcome. Yeah, unfortunately they look good 10 but function like a 1

For what it’s worth …..

Certainly not . I hope it didn't seem as if I was implying that ...

👍🏽 thank you…. Have heard many conflicting opinions, more negative than positive….but there seems to be so many guys in the US doing it and praise them…..
Don’t think I’m going to get them done just wanted more input…. And your right, they will eventually fail
Cheers

I was super keen on them, trust me. But made the decision based on many with experience to pass.

I was In Bathurst NB last fall and there was a guy in the show with them, and have to say there was a bit of wind that day and they were all over the place. Certainly seemed kinda sketchy.

Great for asking. How we all learn.
