Why can't I edit a post ????

I put a post about some items for sale.
I sell one of them, make another post about it, so the thread now has more than 1 post.
I cannot edit the original post, to also indicate that item was sold.

Why Not ???????

I've been playing around with permissions and time restrictions on edits so I'll have a look at it later on today.

I've refactored edit permissions for everyone to basically make them the same for all but power users.

Basically you have a week before a post is locked from edits. To me that's a reasonable amount of time for most potty words to get self censored.
