Hello everyone. I have a 2024 Corvette ERay (currently hibernating for the Canadian winter) with Carbon Fibre rims. It did not come with wheel lock nuts. I am trying to find the right ones (silver or black). What is the proper GM part # for this? (I seem to be getting mixed results with Google searches). Appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thanks.

I contacted [email protected] and got what appears to be an honest reply:

The lug nuts are the same as non carbon wheels.
The difference is the stud length. Carbon wheels have longer studs because the centre of the carbon wheel is thicker, hence requiring a longer stud.
The problem comes into play if you were to put a normal wheel on your car, you’d need longer lug nuts to accommodate the longer studs.
Or if you had a non-carbon wheel and you went to put carbon wheels on it, the studs would be too short.
You can get a set of wheel locks from your GM dealer or I can sell you a McGard kit who is the manufacturer for OEM. Personally if I were you I’d honestly steer away from wheel locks, especially on carbon wheels. They may cause more grief than good especially if you lose the key, and having to remove them from an expensive carbon wheel if that were the case would not be good.
If someone really wants them off they can get them off. I have a set of wheel lock removers that can get them off pretty much the same time as a normal nut.

So I'll probably hold off on getting wheel locks at this time.

Honest reply. If I was going to buy a set of lock nuts for these wheel I would definitely buy Mc Guard and order a second key right away, second, always remove them with a breaker bar and install them with a torque wrench, no air or battery powered tools, hand tools only. As for the color, match the oem nuts or replace everthing with black, both options will look good, just a mather of taste. BTW, beautiful wheels.
