New guy here. I've owned my C8 since mid July and have 6,000kms on it. I'm in Windsor and had an opportunity to take it to Milan Dragway in Michigan last week. It was 80 and hunid, I had 1/2 tank of fuel and my tires were at standard pressures. Best ET was 11.48 I had a blast. Plan to go back in october in cooler air, less gas and play with air pressure (-3-4 in rear, +10 in fronts). I also used launch mode for all 3 passes, I'd like to try a paddle launch at 4500rpm (2lt with basic suspension, I cannot adjust launch mode RPM) I haven't been down a strip in 27 years, I have a video of my first pass redlight by about a full second (LOL) but I don't see video link here. Pics are by track photographer who mad me look good .

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
There is a "more options" link (three dots) which allows video uploads Alternately use Youtube.

Always a fun time!
Red light = fastest mph! lol.
With those consistent 60' times, it's unlikely tire pressure matters. Maybe take 5lbs out of the rear. Front at recommended should be fine.
Take it to the redline in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, if you didn't.
Was traction control on, or off?

I was in auto, not manual I assume the car shifted at redline each time? Comp mode traction (2 presses) both pedals to the floor, lift brake pedal to go.

The rear tires might not affect my time as you say, but I have read that going to 40psi on the fronts has similar effect of skinny tire (less rolling resistance). It doesn't cost anything to try it at least.

I was on a mission to replace my wheels with aftermarket supposedly the weight savings pays back well on unsprung weight. I had a VERY good deal lined up on some 20/21 forgiatos, but I'm not in love with them, and they had non run flats so not sure how I feel about that either...
