Welcome, twowings

Happy new year to all. Just acquired a 2008 Crystal Red base convertible with lots of options. Since we didn't have any snow over Christmas, I managed to get a few klicks on before the season changes. Now I can wait impatiently for spring to arrive.

Hey twowings. Welcome to the forum. Is this your first Vette? How about posting some pictures. I had a 2009 in Victory Red before my C7. Loved that car and if I'd had room, I would have loved to keep it. We are definitely a pretty easy going corvette family here on the forum and look forward to hearing from you as time goes on. And Happy New Year to you as well.

First Corvette. Its brought back a lot of memories of driving high performance cars in the 1970's and early 80's. I was weaned on driving four speed cars (Mopar mostly) and living in a very rural area, we took advantage of the available power for high speed driving fun. The 6 speed in this beauty has taken a little time to get used to but since I also own and ride motorcycles, I am used to shifting as needed.

This thing is a blast to drive and I need to keep an eye on my speed as that LS3 has some wicked acceleration available. Makes my old 68 Super Bee or 70 Challenger RT appear sluggish in comparison. I wont have a better pic until spring as she's in storage now.
