wanted.. C6 front tires

'08 BASE COUPE, front tires are poor, max 4/32" rear tires are good

~8/32" Thought I would see if I could find some good condition used
tires for the front; then get 4 new tires once rears are worn.

Front....245/40-18. rear....285/35-19. Thinking ' off the wheel' anyone
wanting 2 good rear tires ?? [ Then I'll get 4 new ones ]

I know what your saying ,I was able to find two fronts about a year and a half ago .It was a good plan that worked .Bought four Michelin RF and all-season for $1600 .Can't wait for the first snow to try 'em out .

if you don't end up finding any fronts and decide to change all four then let me know about your rears, I might pick them up if they are usable

The other option I considered was to buy just new front tires .Then I'd purchase the rears when needed.

the rear tires are great, well above 'useable' !

GYear fronts appear to be on back order ? Would try firestone
firehawk wide oval rf. BUT any problem running different
manufacturers, although both are run flat ??

No problem Tony , you can run different brands so long as they are RF's.

im running firestone wide ovals and couldn't be happier.. not an all out track tire although they did perform very very well. 15,000 kms and they look like they will go another 15 of not further. My experience was that 4 wide ovals were cheaper than just 2 goodyears... food for thought...
