Viper/MC20 VS ZR1?

I have driven one, albeit an earlier generation. Perhaps it was the tires or alignment but I found the car demanded more constant steering corrections when pushed into corners. Perhaps the wheelbarrow comment was inaccurate as most owners would disagree with me. But that being said, a viper owner has had more opportunity to become more familiar with the car and it's limitations than I did, but being use to my C7 handling, I wasn't impressed.

And the seating position in them is horrendous. You have to be a contortionist to drive one.

I was a passenger in a Viper ACR at Mosport for 15-18 laps some years ago. It stayed well glued down in the corners, partly due to very sticky racing tires, partly due to driver skill. The torque from the V10 is amazing. An upshift feels like a wrecking ball hit the rear bumper. Had to drive with side windows down, the A/C can't keep up with engine heat into the cabin.
Would I consider trading my C8 for one? Only for a day.

I had a gen 5 Viper for 6 or more years (sold it two or three years ago).

I road raced / tracked the car many times over the years as well as other cars. In spite of the reported issues with the handling of earlier generation cars the Gen 5 viper handles very well on track. Just ask the honest guys who own and track their other manufacturers cars and run against the Vipers. A Viper ACR is a beast on track.

The gen 5 is around 3300 -3400 lbs and has stock 355s in the rear and grip isn’t too bad for a 645/600 car and puts the power down well except in first gear.

I have a few videos of on track events online and it definitely doesn’t handle like a wheelbarrow and can best a lot of reported better handling cars with competent drivers.

Not planning on tracking anymore (for many reasons).

My $.02

Also I would be more than a little suprised if they revived the v10.

Thinking back the Vioer was loud, hot and had a super stiff suspension. Not really a good street car. But was still fun to drive and got lots of attention (which I didn’t like much).
