Tire Repair

Yup, I ordered one for myself and one for my brother as a gift.

cheap insurance to maybe keep you from being stranded.

and Yes, the CF spoilers make it a pain to get these cars on a flat deck.

Brian

True, CAA advises you to make sure the tow operator knows that you have a 'vette so that he may bring the proper equipment to get your car on the trailer.

Brian, I also ordered a kit. If I'm impressed with them I'll get another for my bro.

yes it is a good tire repairing tool and I would like to use it in future.

I am sure it's a good tire repairing tool and you would like to have it in case but never have to use it. It's like insurance, this is one thing we like to pay for nothing, if you had pay for nothing, nothing happened :seeya:

LOL, yeah, like life insurance: you hope you never have to collect.:D

BTW - I got my Dynaplug Pro Kit yesterday. It seems to be quite a nice kit..
Will post pics later on.

Colin.

that would be a handy thing to carry in the atv, the hawthornes puncture tires quite often. life insurance ??? nope......when i croak, everybody's gonna be sad.

My thinking too. I'm going with non-run-flats when I replace my GS's rubber so this kit will come in handy for emergencies. I don't really want to use the 'GOOP' because it's so hard to clean up.

Awesome Colin...Post some pics, I am interested on picking one up myself. Where did you buy it from? Amazon?

You'll like it Peter. Seems really well made -- I got the Xtreme Pro kit which is made of billet aluminum and is a little more $$ but it's really light-weight and has the extra large knob on the handle for better leverage.

Damn I'm so excited I can hardly type properly......Just finished watching our boys win the right to play for hockey gold.....:eek::eek:

did you get the aluminium or stainless version?

Yep -- got the larger handled aluminum kit. Very well machined and compact. I like it. I took several angles to show the compactness and various receptacles for the attachments.

Colin.

I was going to contact CCO before I posted. But you guys are asking about it more.

I am now a distributor in Canada for this item. First and only reseller in Canada as of right now.

I just got my first order in yesterday. I will decide on a promo for the group here.

Before I post my website info I will talk to the boss here..... is that CCO ?

Hi Brian -- thanks but no, not the boss man, just a Moderator:D -- the Boss man would be Riley P of Saskatoon.

Shoot him a pm for info on Sponsorship here. From what I understand, it is very reasonable and yes is required for members who would like to do business.

Hoping you become one of our sponsors -- I actually need another kit for my brother..... so business for you is at hand to offset your sponsorship cost.

Cheers,
Colin.

I will hold off ordering until you get your site set up and arrangements made with Riley. I want to order a few kits.

Good luck with the dealership.

I just mentioned this product to a Corvette buddy I have autocrossed against ( Jerry W from Stony Plain, many people in AB and BC know him - C5 Z06 - super fast driver - except when I raced him last... hahaha )

He has the early version of this product ( black handle one ) and said he has used it about 3-5 years ago .... tire still fixed.

If it helps the odd time ... great.... averaging out the cost over a 5-15 year period.. cheap insurance.

The Dynaplug promises to be an awesome product for us. Good to hear you got an endorsement from a buddy.
Sounds like you're onto a good thing Brian.
We all wish you luck.

Riley will get to you soon. It may not be until the weekend due to his wife's b/day today but he will get to you for sure and set you up.

I will hold my order. I am going on vacation in Florida and I was going to have it ship overthere to save on shipping cost but I preffer to buy from a forum member. Post as soon it's available from you. Good luck :seeya:

Steph.

Collin, I will get the same kit. The large handle will be helpful, the glue or cement use to be a good lubricant and make it easer to push the plug in, must be a little stiffer wen dry. I looked at the video on the company website and it look a little hard to push in so better get the large handle.
BTW, peoples who buy the repair kit should carry an old blanket or a large plastic in case you have to fix a rear tire, you will have to lay on tire ground.

Right on Steph -- Yeah Brian is waiting for Sponsor status from Riley....that shouldn't take long at all to set up.
He'll appreciate anyone who can wait for his status change to order from him.
Nice to support our own people.

My thinking too about the larger handle on the Xtreme kit. A little more leverage will make the job much easier.

I'm also thinking of the compact compressor for the trunk. I spoke to Brian (2009CGMZR1) on the phone about it and he says it's a good unit with good capacity and very compact. I will fit nicely in the little cubbies at the back of the trunk on our vettes.

Good idea about the blanket or tarp to keep things clean.

Cheers
Colin.

Colin, I am going to order a couple of kits as soon as Brian is up and running on the site. The blanket is a really good idea along with a couple of different plier shapes to pull nails etc. out and a good pair of side cutters to cut the plug to length.

My Z06 has a small compressor in the truck along with a repair kit. I have never opened the bag. Wonder if it works, wonder if it is even in there? Maybe a good idea to try it out?
