HEAVY HEARTS for VELOCITY YELLOW RULES
Velocity Yellow is on his way to West Fest this week ... Although it’s only 460hp in this ride .... if I add up both Corvettes heading out from Alberta ... it’s 1100hp 😁👍🏻 no matter the bugs & dust heading toward the setting sun

Heading west of YEG included a stop for Coffee at Entwistle and an awesome chat with @Jeffer2013 
Somehow the “armed robbery in progress” alarm got triggered while these three characters (
Above) were the only ones along with staff in the restaurant ... two vehicles came in hot.
Arrived in Langley/Surrey today after a night stay in Valemount.
What an adventure of a lifetime with Derek. I got to go to a place I spent a tremendous amount of time at in my youth. Jasper Park Lodge (now Fairmont) brings back a lot of happy childhood memories and I am now driving there after almost 5 decades. The adventure of travelling toward west fest definitely did not end at the lodge ..... it actually continued.

We held the CCF WEST-FEST today at our NASCAR03 Estate in Langley, BC.
A great time was had by all... the sun came out, the cars arrived, the chairs and drinks were there, the chatting began in full force.
Then lunch was ready and everyone was quiet for a while...then it started up again.
Derek & Spence came all the way from Alberta to attend. Thanx boys!
The neighbour pulled out his special car too, white 1991 EXCALIBER Platinum Edition. Everyone had a close-up look and took some pics in the car.
Thanx to everyone who attended. It sure was a lot of fun.
It was nice to meet everyone, especially the new people and putting a face to the CFF handles.

Great appreciation for your hospitality Graham and Bev and to the two pooches for tolerating their kennels for much of the Event. A beautiful neighbourhood location a mere few tens of blocks from Canada’s Border Wall.
Enjoyed hours of meet and greet with a few more of CCF’s troop ... discovering a bit more common back-ground beyond the threads of our Forum.
This Event is among the greatest of blessings one never anticipates from owning a Corvette.

Note to self .... Next time bring my passport along with an extra day so I can go fill up with cheaper gas and a beer run

All that’s needed is to double-up the participants (to 4 and add 1 millennial “guide”) and we will have the making for an Canadian Corvette “Better Late Than Never” experience from Alberta to West Fest.
(You May have to google the better late than never reality ideology - which I know Graham already knows) ... stay tuned folks

Note to future West Festers requiring accommodation in the Langley/Surrey area. Derek and I resided at the Ramada 19225 Highway 10 in Surrey V3S 8V9 1-604-576-8388. The hotel has a shaded parking strip full of security cameras and a night security patrol. Price is decent when you factor in inclusive breakfast and car security. Ricky’s is adjacent as well.
