Congrats to CDNZ, aka Todd, my driving partner at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park who was so impressed with the Z06 we drove there this summer, he
picked up his new 2025 Hysteria Z06 today in Ottawa!
I look forward to many more track days in 2026 with you including the Ron Fellows Track Experience at CTMP with a group of us from CCF that I will organize
if members would like that.

I guess I will post here instead of over in the Z06 Section.
After a short delays because of the stop sell on all Z06, I can finally welcome my princess home. Lol.
Always wanted a Z06 but prices had kept me away until 2 months ago. Many months of looking and wishing for one that fit into my limited buget, I finally came across this new 2025 HTC 1LZ Z06.
My Initial 400 kms review. The car is as I had expected it to be. Being a 1LZ, I will missed some of the options that were in my 2LT SR. That magnificent LT6 even at 5000 RPM is quite an adrenaline rush. Lol..

Thanks.

I will look into make some inserts for the exhaust for cold startup to keep peace. Lol..
Some drive modes remember the valve settings across stops/starts. My Mode and Z mode come to mind on my SR Z51? You could use My Mode, if it remembers, and set the valves to "tour" or the quietest setting. Then set My Mode on before you shut down. When it starts again the valves should be more closed than open. Just guessing here.
Or use bananas. Worked for Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop.

Pics please?
Recent life events permitting, I might be interested in a road trip to Nevada next year sometime.
Mike, for those that don't want to travel to Nevada for the same money there is a Ron Fellows track experience here that Todd and I participated in back at the end of June with Ron. This is different as you drive different cars on the track in Bowmanville at CTMP, we did our warm ups in the Cadillac CT4V and CT5V and then lapped in the E-Rays and finished the lapping in Z06 with Z07 packages along with the carbon fiber wheels.
When you go to Nevada you have to take the owners school for the model you own, you cannot drive other models there unless you sign up for that particular school.
When we finished our lapping, our group of 18 had dinner with the instructors in the lounge of the trackside building where we started the day getting fitted with the Hans device and helmet before our drivers meeting.
Todd wrote about this experience after we were there in June. There was some interest from members about going. I will start forming a list soon to get this booked in 2026 if I can get enough interest.

Are we to assume that the discount for the Nevada school isn't applicable to the Ontario one? If not it would have made sense for GM to give that option to Canadian owners you would think.

Don't really care about why people can't or won't go to the States. They are 2 different programs. Do your research and go from there. And no, they are not interchangeable programs that you can transfer your opportunity too...
So what. They are both good tools. One should be given the option.

Thank you for your compassion and understanding......... ;)
