So been a while since I had some time to do some forum maintenance and updates.

Here's what's going down shortly (today/tomorrow):

1. Bit of downtime as we upgrade the core forum software, should be no longer than 10 mins.
2. Switching the forum to https (secure connection). When this happens all of you may need to login again - the forum may kick you out. All your bookmarks will still work and will redirect from Canadian Corvette Forums to https://www.canadiancorvetteforums.com. There's no need to change anything. Depending on your browser you may get a little green secure connection icon.

Shortly after this I'm doing a massive merge of new features for our classifieds system.

If you have any issues logging in or things not showing correctly please post here (or drop an email to [email protected] if you can't get on at all).

Thanks folks.

as always Nik. You Rock... your attention and dedication to the forum is outstanding and much appreciated...
...and by the way, driving on the wrong side of the road is stressful....:ohoh:

Thanks boss. I'm telling when you call it the right side all will be well. :)

OK, first stage of upgrades complete.

Classifieds should be getting updated this weekend.

Some new features:

1. Feedback system for sellers/buyers
2. Additional package options
3. Additional featured ad options
4. Bug fixes etc.

Classifieds system has now been updated. We now have a workable feedback system for classifieds facilitated through CCF. It's a basic negative, neutral, positive system with a place to enter comments for the buyer/seller. A good reputation system is an excellent start to a classified system so we hope you will use it. All profiles now also have a feedback bar indicating feedback facilitated through the classifieds.

Feedback is entered when the seller marks the classified as sold or closed, the CCF member who made the purchase is entered and feedback commentary can be provided at the tail end of the transaction.

Secondly, I'm showcasing the featured classifieds functionality (and selfishly flaunting my gear) which is currently only available to vendors/sponsors as a value ad. We plan on extending this to the general membership in the near future. When you click on the classifieds item in the top menu you'll see what I mean.

We've also made creating classifieds a little quicker by removing the featured image/icon (it's now pulled from your uploaded images).

Below is what you'll now see about each seller (obviously if all the sellers are called Nik do let me know as that's not ideal :)):

I've as of 2 hours ago rolled in some major refactoring and changes to the UI backend services etc. Aim is to keep things more current and compatible. The biggest changes are on mobile at this stage though you will notice a few small things that look different browsing on a desktop.

If you see any anomalies please drop me a note or send me a message and they will be given a swift talking to.

Cheers.

Woohoo.... good looking stuff Nik. The UI improvements will really make the guys in Alberta happy, as soon, if not already, we will all be on it out here.... hmmmm.... bet UI in tech talk doesn't mean Unemployment Insurance does it? :Arghh::Arghh::Arghh::Arghh::Arghh::Arghh::Arghh::Arghh::Arghh:

What? I thought it was Umbrella Insurance. Can never be too careful with them spoked death bringers.

:)
