Murray, I'd love to one of the current super modified's in the hand of Junior Hanley! That would be some great racing for sure!.

Rob, a friend of mine sees Jr. Hanley on a regular basis. He is still building race cars, apparently just did a marathon session in the states to build one for somebody in Canada. He was working 20 hour days to finish it. Like his car number Hanley is 72 years old and is still going strong. I will have to find out if Hanley has ever driven a Supermodified, it would not surprise me that he has tried one at some point. My first memory of Hanley and his arch rival, Don Biderman (RIP) was at the old Pinecrest Speedway just north of Toronto.

Murray... I WISH that was me in that ride..
BUT.. Here I am in the near lane at Seattle Intl Raceway in 1985...in my '75..
The car was burgundy back then....I painted it black in '87.

I made it to the fourth round...and suffered a red-lite.....darn.
Sure was fun though.

Great shots Graham. Fourth round is not too shabby, you must has been counting the money on that red light. Painting the car black would pick you up a couple of tenths I would think!

Yes the stands cleared a few times that day depending on the breeze direction and yes DS would not of been impressed at all!!

Awesome Pictures! Love the old stuff and the picture for Colin made me laugh!

Here's my cousin's racecar getting scaled. We raced in the Legends class the past three years and now have moved up to Sportsman and are currently putting that car together.
