Random Pictures You Took

Too much trouble.... Just breast them, brown them, add cream of chicken soup, simmer until done cooking. makes a great topping for pasta.
Mmmmmm. Flip them over , stand on the wings and pull on the feet . Quick and easy they say . I still prefer chicken. They don't taste like spruce , lo.

Actually here we harvest mostly Ruffed Grouse (white meat and taste just like chicken), but to be honest, I've never had a Spruce Grouse that tasted like spruce. Might be different up north.

Ya , they are actually pretty tasty. Although they do eat a lot of spruce needles especially in the winter. Some claim they can taste like spruce. I've never noticed it though. I think the population is coming back as there were quite a few more last winter than the one before. 11 year cycles I believe. Should be lots this year . Just about time to get the pitching wedge out again, lol.

For those that have a garden and grow peppers, these are Mariachi Chile peppers. I grow peppers and tomatoes in my greenhouse and this is the first year I have grown this variety of hot peppers. The Mariachis grow yellow to start and then turn red when they really turn up the heat. I was pleasantly surprised how well they are growing. This is one plant and I actually counted the peppers this morning. There are 32 peppers on this plant alone and they are huge compared to my Jalapenos. I've been harvesting and eating them as they turn red.

Awesome!

I took this several years ago. A Hummingbird moth.
They have long straw to suck the nectar from the flowers

We have them here too but seldom see them. I took a bunch of pictures a few years ago of one at an outdoor wedding enjoying the flowers....

Well fellow PETA members (People Eating Tasty Animals), Sunday was opening day of hunting season in the zone I live and mostly hunt in. After 7 years of applying, I was successful in getting chosen for my bull moose. So my 45 year hunting and fishing buddy head out to one of our favorite hunting properties just before daylight and after beating the bush for 3 hours, Mr. Moose became available. Then the work began. Field dressing and dragging him to where we could get to with my truck was a 2 hour chore (we're not as young as we use to be... lol), but he is now hanging in another friends cooler. I am strictly a meat hunter in this stage of my life and this moose was the perfect size I wanted. 3 years old will be nice and tender. Now we can concentrate on grouse hunting and cutting birch firewood.

Mmmmm...... I see you have re-grown your Winter face warmer .

Lol.... Mine is the same as when we met.... That's Larry on the left. He does a bunch of Santa Claus gigs every year, thus the face warmer.
I knew that was you on the right but I thought you were clean shaved that day . I may have been suffering from Vetlag at the time , lol.
