Well I went to the dealer tonight to finalize the deal and the only discrepancy was with the price protection. There was a $2000 increase in the base price since I ordered the car but the dealer is saying all GM will pay is $1730. I know this is small difference in the overall value of the car but it is the principle of it that bothers me. Can others share what they rec'd... full increase difference, only a percentage or nothing at all and recourse taken to correct the situation? They have it listed on the bill as "Rebate". Thanks

Also ask the dealer if he is referring to the factory price or the retail price. My understanding is there is retail price protection so the 2,000, but the dealers invoice price difference might be 1,730, so what the dealer gives up in a price protection instance is also the profit on the 2,000 increase, which some try not to give up, they want every little piece they can. No I know this is true for in year price increases not sure of year change roll overs.
