I'm going to be the proud third owner of a 2007 C6 Z51 in the crazy Atomic Orange colour on Saturday. One more sleep!
I'd say it's a midlife crisis purchase... but midlife is so far back in the review mirror that I can barely see it.
I've actually always wanted a summer Sunday driver and finally bit the bullet. My plan is to enjoy it and pass it on to my son and hopefully I hang in long enough that it'll be eligible for collector plates lol..

Welcome badger. Great intro cept we need a picture of your new baby. We like pictures here... On another note, are you sure your car isAtomic orange? Atomic orange didn't surface (pun intended) until 08. The 07 was a DSOM (Daytona Sunset). My C7 below is the Daytona Sunrise. They are all pretty close... Regardless, a gorgeous colour that changes with every change in the light.......

I did a bit of homework, and they only made about 3500 if I recall correctly.

It's an import from the US so I wonder of that's why?

Wowsers... I stand corrected... Or maybe a late year build and they had run out of DSOM and already batched the AO colour...lol.... Regardless... sweet colour... You are going to smile a mile wide when you take delivery... We all did and still do smile .... Congrats on your "Sunday driver" choice.

Congratulations and welcome. Meet your relative also a 2007 AO with the Z51 package but one of the 500 Indy 500 Pace Cars. On our way home on Thursday night my wife spotted an AO C6 Corvette in Mission BC and commented on it since it would have been a rare sighting. Any chance that was you? During our monthly BC Corvette Club meeting we had a new potential member introduce themselves and announced that they had a 2007 AO with the Z-51 package. Could that have been you as well?

Being an import has its advantages. Ours is too and was bought out of the showroom of a dealer in Scottsdale AZ by the previous owner while vacationing there. Being a US domestic car allows you to program your own fobs to the car while the Canadian models have to be done by a dealer using a Tech2.

Yes My wife and I are members of BCCC since April 2017. We try to attend most club events and activities but the meetings at Preston not too often in the winter months because it's a long haul from Chilliwack return.

Welcome @BadgerBlu! You are correct on the color. Atomic orange came out in 2007. When the C6's debuted in 2005 they had DSOM - Sunset and it was only for 2 years, 2005 and 2006. then Atomic Orange debuted in 2007 and ran until 2009. DSOM - Sunrise, was brought out with the C7 in 2015 and 2016.
