I note that says ESP X4, not the X3 that was mentioned a bit earlier in this thread. BUT if the X3 was Dexos 2 approved it's fine in the Corvette. My recollection, though, is that the X3 did not have that certification.

Just use the factory recommended oil and then there are no problems. Meets warranty requirements and is of very good quality.

Don't see why one can't use 5w40 if it's only summer driven!
