OBDII Connection

If you push the button without the brake it enters one mode which I believe is the accessory position. If you hold the button for 10 seconds it enters the full on mode without starting. I can't remember exactly which is which.

Thank you Murray I’m going to check it out later today.

Exactly. Push start for 5 to 15 seconds without pushing the brake and you get access to all settings without harming the environment , . I don’t think there is anything about this in the owners manual. They call it service mode. Once done simply press the brake and start the engine or it will stay powered up. It came in handy especially the day I picked mine up for the first time because it takes quite a while to set up the various accounts for OnStar , Google , and driving modes , general settings etc . Probably about half an hour or so.

I think with no activity it will shut off after about 10 minutes.

One way to find out….interesting that GM don’t seem to mention this mode in the owners manual. Oh wait , they want you going to a dealer instead , lol.
