What happened with the oilers? Anyone watch it? From the lowlights it seemed to be defensive breakdown not a goalie issue.

I watched it...of course... Oil played like dogs for 1st period... 4-0 Kings... Started coming around late in the second and then dominated in the third and tied the game at 5-5. Then a really fluky shot with a minute for the Kings.... Yes. Defense sucked until the third. We will see what happens tomorrow. Would be nice to see them split in LA but they better come out playing right away.

You're batting 500. Missed on the 4-2 game prediction but hit the home run on the 4-2 series win. They are looking good right now. Helped that they took my advice and pulled Skinner. I liked Pickard all season and like him even more now. Bring on Vegas, although I'm going through sleep deprivation with these western game start and finish times... 11:30 is past my normal shut-eye. But we have 3 CDN teams still in the race. Go Canada and Go Oilers.

lol.... I was reminded of that during the overtime game a few days ago. Confusing the direction of time differential, I texted my buddy when the third period started to see if he was watching the game... He lives in Nova Scotia... Needless to say he gave me hell for waking him and then thanked me when he watched the rest of the game... It was a gooder..

I have taken to watching the NHL in 30 to catch up on the late games from out West. I struggle enough to sit and watch a game as it stands (or sits)

Too much great action in the oilers games that NHL in 30 doesn't even come close to showing. Guess I'm hooked... lol

I think it's more that the Panthers have a good mixture. No 60 goal scorer, but no weak link, Plus they have Bob.

The 3 and fourth liners where able to presurre their opponents. Not so much their top lines. When Knives got hurt the past few games the top line is less effective. I alwasy hope they have the balls to split Matthew and Marner apart so they have a threat on each lines. Put them with 2 checkers to do the dirty work in the corners and create lose pucks opportunity for them 2. Playoff hockey doesn't have highlight reel scores/plays 90% of the time? Just an observation from a hockey fan.

In all fairness though, it took Wash many years to get there. Same for Florida. Heck look at the oilers. How many #1's have they had over the decade and only now are they getting there.
