New weekly email digest

CCF Members,

In the interest of keeping you all in the loop so that important information or gossip isn't missed we will commence sending out a weekly digest email starting this Friday.

The weekly digest will provide you with a short summary that captures the most popular topics of the week with links back to each topic. No advertising or spam included for a change.

It is we hope not too much of a nuisance and will help keep us all engaged through the hardships of summer car shows and racing days.

As always we respect your privacy and we have no intention of fighting for a slot in your spam folder next to a wonderful opportunity in Nigerian oil futures so you may at any time opt out of the mailing by clicking on the unsubscribe button at the bottom of each email. You can also opt out of all site wide mailings by going into your Contact Details tab (of your user menu) and deselecting the Receive Site Mailings option. Of course we don't want you to do that but option is there if you need it.

It won't win any literary awards given it's a collection of links and templated text but I can certainly add collectors edition to the subject line

Gonna have to put a break on this conversation.

Weekly digest functionality is in place. You will find a cunningly disguised well hidden option in a style not unfamiliar to Greek accountants at the footer of the forums to disable your subscriptions or re-enable them You can also disable them when you follow the unsubscribe link in the footer of the first email.

Again, the first of these are weekly summaries of most popular topics. Most popular topics are calculated by most number of views. Hopefully will keep the guys who don't check often informed and riled up to join.

First one runs automagically tomorrow at 9am and will run every Saturday morning at 9am EST.

And yes in the near future we will start publishing a proper newsletter with them words and the like.

I have not gone to circle school so plenty of arrows to show for it...

One phrase I really hate is, "Keep Us in the Loop"

It usually means You have to a whole lot of extra work to keep some idiot informed so He can come back later and criticize the decision that was made 3 weeks ago, because He was too lazy to stay abreast of things......Rant over.....
