Good evening everyone, I have a '74 Stingray that has mostly original parts. I am looking to gain some knowledge about my car from this site. I may do a complete restoration one day, but I'm not sure if it's worth it or if it even needs it. I'm an Automotive apprentice and I can do a bit of bodywork, too. Seems like a great site to be on, wish I joined earlier. :canada:

O yeah, nice project, Venom.......Can't wait to hear about its progress and see pics. G/L with it. Lots of good info here to help and your experience will help many here too.

Welcome, glad you joined us.

Colin.

Well I had the chance to take a quick shot of it yesterday as I went to retrieve my summer driver from storage, but the car is under a tarp with a blanket of dust, so before I dig it out, I wanted to do some more research on it. I mean, if I'm opening a can of worms or not. It is still stock, original 454 motor, 56,000 miles on it, to make a long story short, the only thing that is not original is the paint. (it's white, did I mention that?) I have already replaced the drive belts, etc., the carpet (ugh-old car smell) and I will need to do the brakes on it soon.

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome. Maybe I'll get around to postin some pics of the car later. :canada:

I love the Stingrays. It was this model and body styling that got me hooked on Vettes in the first place back in the day. I hope to own one, some day. Welcome to this great forum. Can't wait to see pics of your beast.
