Putting in lots of sweat and upgrades this week into CCF.
You will notice a new Recent Activity widget on the sidebar as of now. This is replacing the Recent Posts and New threads widgets.
It's somewhat fancy as it captures all activity i.e. likes, posts, new threads, new pics etc in a single place. You can scroll it also. It is also semi-realtime so it will refresh on its own shortly after an 'activity' happens i.e. someone posts something without you having to hit refresh on your browser.
If there's too much noise you can use the little drop-down arrow on the top right hand side of the widget and only show updates for people you follow i.e. show only my newsfeed.
Currently it's only enabled for registered/logged in users. May extend it to guests/casual browsers in the future.
Your personal newsfeed (accessible http://www.canadiancorvetteforums.com/account/news-feed) or via your account page->Your News Feed is also now real-time. As a reminder your news feed shows posts/likes etc of all the people you follow and don't hate too much on CCF.
