Good afternoon all. I am a new member to this forum. I live in Hamilton, Ontario. I was hoping to get a recommendation for a local mechanic/mechanics for clutch repair and to replace the gas tank (who would have known the gas tank would have collapsed when I put a locking gas cap on it?).

I see there are some other posts, but they seem to be older and unanswered.

I'm guessing you may have to source your own new gas tank. There are a number of Corvette parts suppliers that supply tanks but you may have to get it shipped from the US. As for a mechanic near Hamilton, can't help you there. Good luck.

There is a Hamilton area Corvette club. I'd start with them.

Just a note on clutches. If you have original it will be a dual mass flywheel. No longer available and cannot be machined.
Solution is a single mass flywheel with matching clutch plate. Complete kits are available from several corvette suppliers.
You will get rattling in the gear box but it is harmless.
