New C-6 owner - Dreams realized....finally

just got me a c-6. 2005 Liberty Red

Always wanted a vette since the early ninties - time was finally right, and the wife finally caved, started out looking at c-5s but convinced her the lights and dash look better on the c-6. She finally caved in and now I am happy to join you all - looking forward to meeting some of you in the spring who may live near by and want to go for a spin... I am just off exit 522 of the 401 - Trenton, Ont so if any of you have your wheels near by and want to pull in for a beer or a pop.... drop me a line
Any clubs meeting nearby, let me know as well.

Welcome to the forum. In my opionion red is not as popular as everyone thinks. I see way more pewter, white, and yellow vettes around. Hope you enjoy it.

thanks for the welcome guys - more pics in the spring .... :-( Just sittin in the garage now. I was looking for a black one but this one came up and I had to take it... the red is growing on me but I hear the cops like the color !

When I retire I'll trade her in for a C-7 in black..... will enjoy this one for now

chrome plate between pipes

hey guys - can I get a chrome corvette plate that fits between the exhaust for the c-6 or are they for the c5 only ? I want more chrome

Congrats on your new baby...looks like a beauty. I'm not sure about the myth that red attracts the police. However you better get used to getting those nice thumbs up from fellow car enthusiasts while sitting still at intersections! )

Well, trying to put in the link doesn't work but check out Corvette Central. Look under C6 then in the desc box type exhaust plate and wha-la! They offer free shipping on their product from time to time but you may have to ask if it qualifies.

wasnt sure they had em - didnt see any place to mount one on the c6 - looks like it mounts from the muffler hangars - will definately have to get one - do you know if there would be a good place to get a centre console refurbished - I have some small scrathes on mine or would I be better to get a new kit ?

Oh boy, I have no idea about the center console. I hope someone that knows about interior trim can help you out on that one. I would...mmm...maybe call a couple detail shops? Maybe they would know the best course of action.
