looks like the shark and the studebaker will get a new room mate this spring. a deal is in the works for a 67 chevelle 427 - 4 spd. should be a fun addition.

My brother bought one new and I remember driving it for the first time .I can only describe it as a heavy feeling drive train like a ragging bull .

Well... a Chevelle is a sensible "family" car. I'm sure the 427c.i. is only for safety purposes. A family car needs to be able to get its occupants quickly away from impending dangers such as 390 Fairlanes.

hahaha, david, back in the day i had a 390 fairlane gta rag top. i enjoyed that car too.
When I was a teenager, there was a black Fairlane GTA coupe on our street. It was the wife's car.... nice machine. Faster than my '63 American w/flathead 6 and three on the tree.
I don't recall anything as awesome as a 427 Chevelle anywhere near my neighbourhood.

actually colin, keith is quite familiar with the car and knows the owner. i have the racecar to satisfy my need for speed and i intend on having the shark out of commission from time to time as i perform work on it. i did'nt want to be without a car for cruising and cruise nights etc, sooo, a 427 chevelle should do the job
whatever i bought though had to be a 4 spd car. helen is going to enjoy being able to put lawn chairs in an honest to goodness trunk for cruise nights. 
Not surprised at all that Keith knows the car and owner. Probably has some of his drewel on it here and there. I bet he's as excited as you are. ......

That Chevelle looks great! In addition to a couple lawn chairs, you can also fit a cooler, extra tires, clothing for all kind of weather, a car cover and on and on........
Not just to "look at" car... one to hear as well. In motion preferred!

Doug the guy that built the 1967 Randy Lyons knows his stuff and worked as a foreman for GM Oshawa for many years.This chevelle is done right with all the right stuff.Your lawn chairs will look geat in the monster trunk.I look forward to tons of cruise time next season your chevelle will be a treat to run with.Life is about the journey enjoy the ride.

'70 SS's are nice but there's something about '67's ... they're just so fine! 
Randy and I worked together from about 1976 to 1983 in the Oshawa car "A" body plant covering the weld line. A great guy to work with and has fixed up some pretty nice cars over the years. I've had many years of 427 Chevelle experience, like nearly 200K miles under my belt. That's 200K miles worth of smiles and I feel more than a little fortunate to have been able to enjoy these cars the way they were meant to be enjoyed. My dream car would be a Chevelle from that era with a late model 505 hp 427 but with enough cam shaft to give it the idle like the old days. This summer at cruise nights, if you see a Mountain Man with a cheshire cat smile on his face, that will be Doug. Definitely a NICE car.
