Crate motor....!
Or Cam, intake, headers should get you there fairly inexpensively.
Heads could be next..... to put you over the 300HP mark.
Honestly if you want to be above 350HP go straight to the Crate motor and store your L82.
I did a ZZ4 motor almost 20 years ago.

Not really the same scenario, but I've been looking to increase the power for a '93 Tbi engine that I have.
So far, the consensus seems to be to find Vortec heads that have been machined to allow more lift (they only allow .450" from the factory), a new intake, a conservative performance cam, and headers, should be good for ~ 350hp.
However, this all depends on what the resulting compression ratio will be, blah, blah, blah. A lot more research has to go into this combination, but I'm using engine masters as a starting point, which may or may not be very smart.

That was pretty interesting Riley, Gives you an idea where to start and what to consider.
For sure. I find the toughest part is where to start. But if you get an idea, then at least you have something to research and build on.
