Anyone here with IPTV and cloud recording? I hate commercials and am looking for a solution other than satellite tv or "Over the air". I'm looking for at least 1080P which is not offered through satellite.

Sure . This will provide more programming than you will know what to do with. All you need is an internet connection. I get around 100 channels of IPTV on my LG TV and some of it is ok but there are a few channels I could do without like Deal or No Deal 24/7 , lol. Ghostware boxes are pre-configured and pretty well ready to go although there is a bit of a learning curve of course. They do provide free support though and no subscription fee . Reasonable purchase price .Anyone here with IPTV and cloud recording? I hate commercials and am looking for a solution other than satellite tv or "Over the air". Sorry, I should have said I want CBC, Global, CTV and CityTV as well as Sportsnet and TSN. Does it have those?Sure . This will provide more programming than you will know what to do with. Can't say for sure but it does have the major US networks as well as several movie channels with the latest releases. As well as a number of foreign feeds . I have one of their older boxes , around 5 or 6 years old I would say so not too sure what is available on the new boxes . I am going to pick up one of their new faster units and will let you know. I'm finally dumping my now basic cable cable subscription which I mainly kept for F1 but now that Apple have the rights no more need. Streaming is so much better than crappy low res ad infested cable or satellite. I think I remember you saying that you don't have access to cable in your neighborhood. Think I will order a box and remote tomorrow so will keep you posted. These boxes have 4k and surround sound as well.Sorry, I should have said I want CBC, Global, CTV and CityTV as well as Sportsnet and TSN. Does it have those?
It would seem like " maybe " lol. They do come pre loaded with apps and there are others you can add .Sorry, I should have said I want CBC, Global, CTV and CityTV as well as Sportsnet and TSN. Does it have those?
With the old one I have , which I haven't used quite a while none of the movie channels had any can't remember about the broadcast type channels but seeing how it's streaming maybe not . Then again though if you go back a day in the tv listings on cable and play something you can and that would be streaming . But you can add an external box for recording to the best of my knowledge. They have a dedicated Discord group where all of this can be found out. I'm looking into it.@1st Vette does it have commercial skip?
Running a ROKU on my older TV. Gives you most of the OTA channels but you will get commercials. The only way to skip them is if you record a program and then watch it later. You can then fast forward to the end of the distraction. With the old one I have , which I haven't used quite a while none of the movie channels had any can't remember about the broadcast type channels but seeing how it's streaming maybe not . I have a Roku and several firesticks, but none of them can record that I know of.Running a ROKU on my older TV. Gives you most of the OTA channels but you will get commercials. It's an Android box, much the same thing as the Ghostware one . Beats cable by a mile . Around the same price as well.I'm not very sure of the tech jargon, but I have one of these for hockey games that are blacked out on tsn, or sn on my Bell Fibe.
Also use it for pay per view ufc fights, etc. There's over 9,000 stations / channels.
Buddy loads a 1 yr subscription on it for $100.

I used to use Kodi until it was shut down for copyright infringement. It was great .Running a ROKU on my older TV. Gives you most of the OTA channels but you will get commercials. With ROKU they run their own commercials in place of the OTA commercials. No way to get away from them unless you record the program.
You can add any private subscription that you have i.e. Amazon, Apple, Disney, Netflix, etc, etc. Obviously you will have paid for them.
One caveat, if ROKU updates their software then you have to re-register all your subscriptions. Just found that out last week when I had to do it.
B.I.L has a recorder (might be through Bell) and he tapes just about all the hockey games and just watches them about an hour later or if a late game, the next morning. Fast forwards to the next "start of action".
You pay, literally, for what you get.

Exactly, but that's one of the nice things about Ghostware boxes , it's all done over the air/internet automatically. And yes it is a Grey area but the odds of an individual having an issue is virtually nill . They also have anti-virus and a VPN built in . Going to dig around later and see if I can find the model I want. The price is certainly right.I've had android boxes. You still need someone to load the programming and it's a grey area. You need a third person to load them every year and stay up on the hacks.
Lol, this one is black not Grey. But looks really interesting. First time I've heard of it . Thanks. With the cable service I have I only watch about 3 things which I can get elsewhere so time to cut the cable. I'm pretty sure that some Android boxes have recording capabilities with HDMI out . Some even have the required software on board. Should be able to connect an external SSD . There are also several apps on the Google Play Store for recording streams. This site is a good The Best IPTV Subscription For Endless Entertainment – Enjoy the best IPTV Subscription Service for any Device, from any Location at Affordable Prices (https://huluxtv.com/) but I don' t think it has cloud recording. I sent an email to them but have yet to receive a response
The wife needs her soaps and I need my sports. So we need mainstream tv stations. With the cable service I have I only watch about 3 things which I can get elsewhere so time to cut the cable.
OK. now A lot of sites claiming it's a scam. Price does seem to good to be true. This site is a good The Best IPTV Subscription For Endless Entertainment – Enjoy the best IPTV Subscription Service for any Device, from any Location at Affordable Prices (https://huluxtv.com/) but I don' t think it has cloud recording. For sure a lot of " Android TV " boxes are sketchy as hell and do contain malware. And because they are connected to your network can be a serious problem. Especially the dozens from China being sold on Amazon. The only ones to consider are the ones with custom firmware from reputable providers so you have to be very careful. From what I can find regarding them being legal or not depends on weather you are just streaming content or recording it . Seems streaming only is still Grey whereas recording is definitely copyright infringement which can result in very nasty fines if you somehow got caught. Which is where a VPN is recommended.OK. now A lot of sites claiming it's a scam. Price does seem to good to be true.
