I have a 1986 Corvette with A TPI fuel system. What I would like to know is what emission control equipment can I disable without triggering a check engine light. Specifically, I want to eliminate the AIR system, EGR, and electronic spark timing. As well I will be removing the catalytic converter and switching to real dual exhaust. Simplest thing would be to just unplug and eliminate all these items. I will still maintain O2 sensors. Please don’t lecture me on the legality of this peocedure. Thanks, Jerry

Thank you
I don't think you will be disappointed. He reprogrammed my '05 Duramax, no aftermarket parts, lots more power and was getting 6.9 L per 100 km on cruise at 120 km/hr...on winter fuel. he said I should be in the low 6's on summer fuel but then I got stupid...........Was racing a Porsche with it, looked in the rearview mirror at myself and said "you dumb ass"....traded the Duramax in for a half ton gas job two weeks later........loved that HD 2500

Hi Jerry and welcome to CCF ! You have probably already seen most of this but it might be worth a look. It is an AI search result.
