How Has Your Z06 Ownership Been?

740 HP - Paragon track exhaust system - no muffler - shed 40 lbs or so. LOWERED 3/4 " - WHEELS MOVED OUT 20 MM ALIGNED WITH WHEEL WELL EDGES. Handles like a go cart _ LOL

Missed the OP request. You don't have a Z06

Just curious how has your ownership been so far. Care to share?
I see vids of mostly positive view with smiles and giggles from its owners. I guess except for those that has mechanical issues with their Z06s?
I love my SR.
Z06 c Z07 2025 HTC
Couple check engine lights first 1k
Seemed to go away after breakin and have not appeared
Very different car than my Z51
Very loud in sport and track
More headroom in HTC
Very annoying interaction with my ears and engine noise at 3000rpm
Does handle like go cart
Very rapid and responsive throttle
CCB trouble free. No squeaks.
Much noisier cabin
Will go with all season and skip cup tires when I change over
Very slippy on wet

That's was interesting with the CEL initially? Very annoying interaction with your ears from the engine noise at 3000 rpm?

I had a ride in A z06 when they first came out and my thought was they were crude and unrefined compared to the Stingray. I don't mean that in a bad way. Just can't think of a better way of saying it. More like a racehorse than a buggy horse.

Seems to cause a high pitched painful resonance at 3k in sport and track
Would need a sound engineer to explain this harmonic disturbance
Apparently you're not alone. This is from an AI search. Which looks for information in the same places as any other search method of course.....

The high-pitch resonant sound at about 3,000 rpm in the C8 Z06 Corvette is commonly associated with the distinct flat-plane crank V8 engine sound of this model. This engine’s flat-plane crankshaft produces a higher-pitched, screechy, and more peaky noise compared to traditional pushrod V8s with crossplane cranks, which typically have a deeper rumble. Some owners describe the sound as unusual and even screechy, especially around the mid-rev ranges like 3,000 rpm, but it is considered normal for this engine design and its exposed placement in the engine compartment.

Maybe an Eray would be a better choice for those find it as annoyance from the LT6? 🙂
I would suggest that the majority of the time you won't be in the 3,000 RPM range for any significant length of time . Except on the way to a higher or lower RPM . Or so it would seem.

Amazing. And I love the sound above 3000 RPM. All the way to 9000. The more the better. Just back from the Ron Fellows school in Spring Mountain and loved it.
I haven't had mine out much in the rain but probably won't get the Cup 2 tyres when I replace them. Love the dash cam with the overlay.

If you were in Auto, what is the lowest rpm you see before it kick to one lower gear? 2000- 2500 rpm?

I put 6000 km on my HTC since March. Pretty much driving it daily.
Two CELs but no real problem. Goes away after a couple of start up.
Roof pops and creaks which I dont like.
Ride pretty firm (probably also exaggerated by roads here in MTL).
Love the sound, if you dont like the drone just put it Tour on the highway.
Could use more torque down low (also probably exaggerated by the extra weight of the HTC) but it pulls like a train once pass 4k RPM. Definitely needed to adjust my driving style.
Tested drove a 992.1 Carrera s and it feels faster in most situation because of the turbo torque.
If you like your SR and want something more, get an E-Ray. If you want to experience a Ferrari at a discount, get a z06. The latter is what I wanted and now I am actually considering getting an E-Ray by the end of next year.

I've owned my 2025 C8 for a little over 12 mos. Since the beginning it had connectivity issues. Android Auto disconnecting. Dealer did several updates, changed the radio 4 times and last month changed the Onstar module. They are still trying to figure it out with the engineers. !!!

Thanks for sharing.
It sounds like an Eray is better suited for your need with EV like excelleration.

Interesting...

I had a 2024 Carrera T manual and although good at almost everything, I felt it lacked something and didn't feel special. I even had a rare color and still I was searching for more.

The Z06 fits the bill of a car that I want. Mid engine, loud, and fast. In the past week I've put on over 500kms since acquiring my Z06 and still today I'm excited to go look at it and start it up. I honestly feel this car is fast enough and from a stop light to on and off merge ramps I'm still yet to get over 6000rpms without thinking I'll lose my license. Dunno maybe I'm the odd ball out but its plenty fast even though it lacks some torque but its still the same amount of torque the Stingray had...470 to 460....lol. Weren't we all happy with that prior?

I could really feel the power at the top end of the rpm, 180+ km/h at the Mosport back straight. Special car.

Slightly less torque than the Stingray, but the power comes at higher RPMs. I'm a little surprised you don't keep the lower gears at higher RPMs. That should be where the fun is.
