Hi guys

Hey Domo9 welcome to the forum. Not far, at least in a straight line from you in Haliburton.

Post up some pictures of you GS. Again Welcome.

Wish I could help you with the rims but not sure who to recommend.

Welcome to the forum Domo9. Your Vette is sweet and I agree with Derek. Those rims look great too. I've recently surfed the Forgestar wheels website. Can't recommend as all I did was look but they have Canadian dealers and a dealer in Toronto. I'm sure you will get lots of leads on wheels.

Wow! Great looking GS! I like it! As for rims, our sponsor recently sold his business so now it's sort of open as to who to get rims from. Outside of just throwing out the names (The first two are Canadian.):

KX Wheels
1010 Tires
Discount Tire
The Tire Rack.

Those are a few of the places I have looked at, but have no direct experience with, although I have heard people are actually happy with the Tire Rack.
If looking at CCW wheels, I think you can order directly from them, and people have been very happy!

So, really no help I guess. All I can suggest is doing what you are most likely already doing, googing sites that offer wheels, then reading reviews to make sure the shops are legitimate. Keep us posted on your search and if any news comes up of a good vendor, we'll let you know.

I've bought 2 sets from Discount Tire Direct and had them delivered to our hotel in the U.S.. A friend ordered a set for his C4 and had them delivered here in Canada. We are both very happy with the service and prices. Considerably less than prices here in Canada, even with dollar difference and shipping for him.

The other thought is to order the wheels from a US supplier and have them shipped to CBI USA | US Mailbox Rental & US Shipping Address Services. The closest one to Domo9 would be Buffalo, New York. They will store your order until you pick it up at their warehouse. I do not think the service is terribly expensive. Yes you should declare them coming back across the Canadian border but you save on brokerage fees, lots of US companies will ship free within the US. I am not suggesting that we don't try to support the local vendors but we don't seem to have too many options these days.

Beauty of a GS, im still 50/50 over a GS and a C6 Z06

I loved my C6 Z06 but really didn’t love the fixed roof. The C6 GS with the roof panel out looks fantastic. Not sure about the performance as I’ve never driven one... but as we know performance can be easily adjusted.

;)

:Seeya: Hello and Welcome ... sorry I am late to your welcoming ... sweet introductory photos ...
as far as wheels ... I always check out
Detroit Wheel and Tire
as they often stock and inventory of factory takeoffs and much much more

(note: that little waving-guy should be named as a hello and not just "seeya" - it is a definite "hello" waving-guy for me)

Got a spare set of rims in z06 chrome from the USA and very happy for 1100 USA plus import fees. Jeff
