I've got an 86 vette and the car follows grooves in the road and if you get her fish tailin it's impossible to control because the stering is so heavy. It that normal for the year of car?
It must be as I have an '85 and experience exactly the same condition. I run 17" Goodyear Potenza tires and find they follow grooves more that the 16" Michelin Pilots I used to run. I look forward to hearing comments from others and if they were able to reduce this issue.
C5's like to catch the grooves too. It has a lot to do with the wide tires. Not sure if you could over-boost the steering to make it easier to control.
