Front hood badge looks like an old Dodge
This car is a 1955 Dodge La Femme, a special edition model marketed exclusively toward women. It was a trim option on the Dodge Custom Royal Lancer hardtop coupe, available in a two-tone color scheme of Sapphire White and Heather Rose (pink).
Features
Design: The car was based on the positive reception to the pink 1954 Chrysler La Comtesse concept car.
Accessories: The La Femme came with a matching set of accessories housed in special compartments inside the car, which included a pink calfskin purse, a matching umbrella, and a raincoat.
Production: The model was produced for only two years, from 1955 to 1956. In 1956, the color options changed to Misty Orchid and white.
Legacy: Despite being an early attempt to target a specific demographic, the concept of a gendered car was a commercial flop at the time.
