I've seen a number of inquiries online about getting a duplicate windows sticker, or just looking for an OEM installed equipment/options info source for GM factory installed on vehicles.

I ran across this source Free GM Vin Decoder | GMPartsGiant (https://www.gmpartsgiant.com/vin-decoder.html) and tried it myself for my (can't believe I'm admitting i bought this POS) 1981 Chevy Citation new back in the day (it's long ago been recycled and is likely now part of a Hyundai or similar).

It worked for a Canadian destination car!!! I was very surprised but it came up with engine, exterior colour, seat material, virtually everything about the vehicle.

It will work on any GM USA manufactured 1981 or later car or truck - i don't know if it would come up with info for an Oshawa Ontario car or truck, no way for me to test that. But it works on my C7 from Kentucky as well as the old Citation.

Just thought some may find it helpful.

Welcome to the club! LOL. I bought a 1981 citation new also! Ordered pulse wipes, but they didn't get on the car. Added an aftermarket product as well as cruise control. Those were the days!

Murray, the reason that I checked the 81 first was to (a) see if the site was functional for that model year (b) not put the Corvette VIN on the site before I verified that it worked and, most importantly, (c) the Citation was in for warranty work so often I had the VIN memorized and still recalled it after 43 years 1G1AX08X1BT199703.

Pretty sad, upon reflection.

Funny, mine was good. New parent, needed grocery getter sold my Duster 340. Now the Beretta on the other hand, was just like your citation.
