Well it took over 3 months but GM Goodwill came through when both the dealership and warranty would do nothing. Long story short, bought an ordered 2024 C8 and picked it up in the beginning of October at Sherwood Park Chev. We did notice a seat indention on the passenger side but got distracted by the scratches on the drivers door and door sill. They did buff those out and we sent seat pictures we we stopped in Hinton. When we arrived home in Maple Ridge, I noticed a paint flaw in the right fender close to the headlight after giving the car a wash. We went back and forth for months with the dealer and finally with warranty and had no positive responses. Maple Ridge Chevrolet who were great, were surprised about the paint being rejected as was Preston Collision- when I brought it in to get looked at she knew the spot before I had even pointed it out as they had repaired several for the local dealer. I took it upon myself to write a letter to the GM President of Canada and stated that we loved the car and how it drove but were so disappointed in the warranty process and that a new car shouldn't have these issues. We were contacted by a member of the Executive Response Team the next morning via phone. She took down all the info and could see the pictures of the items as it had been noted during the warranty claim. End of the week she phones back and states it will all be covered under GM Goodwill. Both me and the wife were very happy. Definitely created goodwill on our part towards Chevrolet and will give them and Maple Ridge Chevrolet kudos. Pretty impressed how they had a guy come in and fix the seat with heat and a vacuum. Attached some before and after pictures. Guess it does show perseverance can pay off!!
