Garage Floor Tiles or Epoxy ??

Costco has some various floor tiles and larger sized rolls. I'm thinking of doing the rolled out flooring as it is one piece per garage.

Hi guys just wanted to know what tiles you are using on your garage floor....I am thinking of putting Racedeck tiles but they are a little pricey(over 5 bucks a piece).....I heard of the tiles Costco sells for half the price but only come in basically one color. Anyone know where you can get racedeck here in Canada for a good price???.........Epoxy seems the cheapest way to go but takes alot more time

I have built 4 garages, using industrial 12" black/white vinyl tiles. I tried clear epoxy over two garages and was not happy. One case the clear yellowed from the sun. The other case the clearcoat stained from hot tires. Also tried the same tiles without clear but just floor wax. Still no good. Tried same tiles leaving them uncoated. White tiles stained from tires yet again.

The 5th garage I used SwissTrax. Made in Delta, BC. About $1600 CAD for a 20 x 20 garage. Professionally done expoxy quote was $1200.

Totally satisfied, took about 5 hours to install. Maintenance is a snap, simply use pressure washer with floor attachment.

Trim pieces done with table saw.

I used epoxy 18 years ago and this past winter finally started to peel in one area . So 18 years was great but did the prior cleaning required at the time . Epoxy is advertised 5X stronger than one ply finishes. They now have Rock Solid 20X stronger than epoxy and colours are a bit better in my opinion . I have a lift so used tape to divide prep , wash and finish each side and cut in around lift . Looks great at about 1.50 sq ft with the primer and will outlast me !
