Hard to imagine I actually watched movies like that, back in the day. Things have thankfully come a LONG WAY in the 40+ years since then, when it comes to acting, special effects, plot, dialogue and everything else. I was thinking Mark Hamill may not look back fondly on that movie and those days but to put it into context, it was made the year after his 1977 blockbuster Star Wars hit. As well, Wikipedia tells us:

"Corvette Summer was a box office success, making about $36 million at the worldwide box office, on a relatively high budget (for that era) of $9 million. The film however, received a divided response from critics, and was nominated for a Golden Globe."

As far as I know, it's the only movie with "Corvette" in the title.

It was the movie that gave me the vette bug. My sister at the time had a 77 L82 and a 76 L48 with the greenwood body kit. Both great cars. My new 2020 C8 will be my first vette. But the love has burned. Wife, kids, school, all took priority. Now it’s some me time. Haha

We’ll never saw the movie but might now just for kicks and I’m stuck home all day everyday. Did I see correct that the corvette is a right hand drive???
