Extended Warranty Update

Hi @Mr.Corvette, I am also in the process of finalizing the purchase of a 2024 C8 and wanted to get information on the GMPP for 84 months and 60,000km and also if possible, about the prepaid maintenance plan as well. Thanks in advance!
Sure no problem and welcome to CCF! Hope you have found a nice 2024 that you like as GM has low financing and a $2000 cash discount on remaining 2024's.
Can you send me a DM with the details about your car and your contact info and I will get you the pricing.

Scott, is it expected that the April Canadian price increase will also apply to the Essential/Enhanced Maintenance Plans too or just the GMPP Extended Warranty as mentioned? Thanks
I just bought a 2025 3lt c8 I was offered four more years on top of the three for $2,850 giving me 7 years bumper to bumper I had to take the deal that's happening tomorrow in Canada

Welcome to CCF, you said you had to take the deal so it sounds like it's done. Now you need the maintenance plan for after your free services are used up.

Guys, Matt Orleans - Mathieu and I had a discussion yesterday about the pending April 7th price increase for the GMPP extended warranties. He discovered better pricing than the business manager that I had call him offered. The Canadian pricing of the maintenance packages has already increased 13% and the US pricing of the GMPP warranties goes up 30% at the end of next week. Canadian price increases for GMPP have not been announced yet, but if your going to keep your car beyond the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty that it came with, now would be a good time to get a quote on an extended warranty. It's a lot cheaper than paying luxury tax on a new car that's for sure. Let me know if your interested.

Hi Scotty,
New to this forum
I just picked up my 2025 vet and I bought the extended warranty. When I got the paperwork, it showed 84 months or up to 60K km. Standard warranty is 3 yrs or 60K km. Does this sound right?

I traded in my 2015 and it had 61K.

The only thing the manager picked up on is that I drive 3000 to 4000 a year, so the mileage is irrelevant., it’s time I’m buying for the bumper to bumper, not mileage

Pls let me know your thoughts

Cheers,

Ben

Ben, welcome to the Forum. You seem to average almost 6000 km per year. You are buying time with the extended warranty not milage. How much did your dealer charge you for the extended warranty? Does your extended warranty have a $100 deductible?

Sounds like Frost Chev in Brampton ripped me off. Charging $4K for extended on my C8 for 7 years 60K Km I questioned him and gave me some BS that 7 -120 is over $7k and this is my 2nd vet from them.
I received an email to sign off but have yet to do so. Is it to late to contact Geargetoen and see if I can have the $4k reversed and get it for the employee discount?

can you call me to discuss first!
The warrantee was part of the purchase agreement and I financed the car because the money was cheap.

Don’t know how that will be or can be done

Hi Ben and welcome to the forum ! Just a friendly reminder that this is a public forum and personal information is obviously going to be seen by anyone who cares to look. On the bright side you should now get some unbelievable deal offers on some Florida time shares ! ;)
